APPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
Apps and services
Use official apps and check the provider’s own terms before subscribing.
Important for viewers in Turkey
An app being available to install does not mean every UK programme or live channel can be watched from Turkey. Country restrictions, licensing, payment method, account country and subscription tier can all affect access.
Before installing an app
- Search for the app in the device’s official app store.
- Check the provider’s official website for availability in Turkey.
- Confirm what is included in the subscription and whether a separate TV licence, sports package or add-on is required.
- Use your own account and payment method; never send passwords to a third party.
- Keep the app and device software updated.
Types of service
Broadcaster apps
Some UK broadcaster apps are intended for use in the UK or require a UK account. Check their official help pages for rules that apply when travelling or living abroad.
Live sport
Sports rights are often sold by territory and event. Confirm the authorised broadcaster for the competition in your current location.
Free, ad-supported services
Availability and catalogue can still vary by country. Install only the genuine app published by the service provider.
Looking for an alternative?
If a service is unavailable or has changed, check the App status page for a notice. Any alternative should be an official service authorised to show the content in your location.
