LET’S FIX IT
Common problems
Try these safe checks one at a time. Restarting devices is often a useful first step.
There is no picture on the TV
- Confirm the TV is on the correct HDMI input.
- Check that the stick and power cable are firmly connected.
- Try another HDMI port if available.
- Restart the TV and stick, then allow them time to start.
Wi-Fi won't connect or keeps dropping
- Check another device to see whether the internet is working.
- Restart the router and wait until it reconnects.
- Re-enter the Wi-Fi password carefully.
- Try the other Wi-Fi band if your router offers both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
- Move the router or stick away from obstructions where practical.
An app opens but videos won't play
- Check whether other apps can stream.
- Close and reopen the affected app.
- Check for app and system updates.
- Confirm your subscription is active and the content is available in your location.
- Check the status page and the provider’s own support information.
The remote won't control TV power or volume
- Check the remote batteries.
- Look in device settings for remote or TV-control configuration, if available.
- Follow the TV and stick manufacturers’ pairing instructions.
- Not all TV models support every remote-control function.
The picture keeps buffering
- Pause other large downloads or streams on the network.
- Move the stick or router for a stronger Wi-Fi signal.
- Restart the router and streaming stick.
- Try a lower playback quality if the app offers that option.
- If only one app is affected, check with that provider.
An app is missing from the app store
Availability can depend on your device, account country and the provider’s regional rules. Check the provider’s official website and avoid unofficial downloads that ask you to disable security protections.
Before a factory reset
A factory reset can remove apps, settings and account information. Try the steps above first and make sure you know your sign-in details before resetting a device.
